Getting Started
- Art Links on the World Wide WebOver 1,200 links to art resources (representing various time periods, cultures, media, and more).
- Art Terms GlossaryThis short essay on terms used in the study of art includes links to several online art terms glossaries.
- HELIN Library CatalogThe HELIN Catalog identifies library material available to the URI community. To find books, periodical titles, and videos in Art, conduct a Subject search in the catalog using subject headings such as ART BAROQUE. Subheadings such as ITALY or EXHIBITIONS will narrow the search. (Example: ART RENAISSANCE ITALY FLORENCE or ART MODERN 19TH CENTURY.) A Subject search on individual ARTISTS will bring up material on that author. (Example: MONET, CLAUDE.)
- INFOMINE - Visual and Performaing ArtsScholarly Internet Resource Collection. INFOMINE is intended for the introduction and use of Internet/Web resources of relevance to faculty, students, and research staff at the university level. INFOMINE is librarian built. Over 20 University of California, California State University, and other university and college librarians have contributed to building INFOMINE.
- Oxford Art OnlineProvides access to Grove Art Onlie, Oxford Companion to Western Art, Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, and The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms.
