Tools Leading to Primary Sources

Below are some databases and tools that will lead you to magazine and newspaper articles that may qualify as primary sources.

One good resource is the Reader's Guide Retrospective database, which will help you locate articles from popular magazines. You can limit your search by date and sort by relevance so that you get the most useful results.

In the example below, I have entered suburb* and women. The * at the end of suburb will tell the database to find suburb but also other forms of the word, such as suburbs, suburban, and suburbia.
