Mission Statement

The Curriculum Materials Library at the University of Rhode Island primarily serves the instructional and research needs of students and faculty in the School of Education. Its mission is to support the URI School of Education and the University curriculum by assisting education majors in the development of lesson plans, instructional materials and activities through the provision of appropriate resources, technologies, and library services.

The CML's objectives are to:

  • Provide high quality services and instructional materials for the use of pre-service and in-service teachers and students in grades pre K-12
  • Give priority to collecting materials that best support the curriculum and course requirements in the School of Education
  • Coordinate the CML collection development policy with the University of Rhode Island Libraries’ collection development policy and mission of service

About the Display

April is Arab American History Month. Diverse interpretations of the American experience and diverse voices in American literature make America great. April is the perfect time of the year to celebrate the contributions of Arab Americans to this great nation, recognize their heritage, and gain an understanding of the issues that Arab Americans face in this country.
