Library Frustration Relief
Here are a few tips to help you navigate the
library more successfully:
- Understand the instructor’s assignment.
- Allow a sufficient time slot for research and for learning to use the library.
- Start early in the semester.
- Bring paper and a pen or pencil.
- Bring your student ID or a few $1 bills and a flash drive.
- Think of alternative topic words to describe your subject.
- Check your spelling.
- Read directions: look at signs and help screens.
- Understand call number sequence and library locations.
- Ask for help at the Reference Desk -- and ASK AGAIN!
