Economics

A guide to resources of use to those studying economics.

Getting Started

Books can be found using the catalog.  Begin searching by using a few keywords related to your research topic.  Results can be expanded by using subject headings.  These are found in the expanded record for a particular item and are hyperlinked to a full list of items about a particular topic.  Subject headings can also be used in searching; simply select Subject in the drop down menu beneath "New Search" towards the top left of the page.  Some sample subject headings related to Economics are: "Economics" and "Economics Case Studies". Subject headings can also divide a topic geographically, as in Economics United States, or Economics Brazil.

General Sources

Listed below are encyclopedias, dictionaries, and handbooks which provide basic, accepted information about economics.  These resources provide a good starting place for students researching a new topic or looking for well established information.
