URI LibX Browser Add-On: What Is the URI LibX?

Find Full-Text Articles Faster

The URI LibX  is a browser add-on for FireFox and Chrome web browser.

  • It will let you quickly find and access full-text articles and other library resources during your research.
  • The LibX smart linking option for ISBN (a unique identifier for books), PMID (PubMed ID), DOI (Digital Object Identifier) allows you to simply click and instantly find out if a copy is available through the URI Libraries.
  • If available, click "Read Full-Text." Otherwise, click "Request This Article through Interlibrary Loan" to request the Inter-library loan service to get the article delivered to you.

The LibX add-on has many other features beyond this. For example, it enables you to search for articles, books, and journals that you need from the library no matter which webpage you are currently at. So you do not have to go to the library website first.
