Media Resource Center: Kanopy Streaming Service

The Media Resource Center (MRC) is the URI Library’s primary collection of materials in electronic non-print (audio and visual) formats. The MRC collection is intended to support the broad range of study and research interests on campus.

Kanopy Streaming

The University Libraries provides streaming of select Kanopy database titles.  Available on or off campus, Kanopy allows users to embed full-length films in Sakai or create playlists and clips to further tailor content. Titles for which URI has access are accessible by the list below, through the the URI Libraries Search by title, or through URI's Kanopy webpage.

Create a Kanopy account

Creation of a Kanopy account is not required for access.  Off-campus users required to enter e-Campus username and email/Sakai/wireless password are providing proof of URI affilitation, not creating a Kanopy account.

A Kanopy account allows users to make clips from titles in the URI catalog construct to their own playlist.  This personalized content can then be shared as a link or embedded in Sakai.

To create your Kanopy account go to this page and follow the link.
