Reserves: E-Reserves

What is E-Reserves?

E-Reserves is a service that allows students to search, view, and print Reserve course materials online.

Items that may be placed on E-Reserve are:

  • Instructor-generated material (i.e. class notes, past exams, homework, etc.)
  • E-journal articles from journals to which the library subscribes
  • Other print materials, provided the instructor has met copyright requirements

Materials on E-Reserve must be shorter than 50 pages, since large files are difficult to download and print.

Eligible borrowers

Anyone possessing a URI Sakai account may borrow materials on E-Reserve.

Borrowers must enter a valid Sakai User ID name and password for security and copyright compliance.

Step-by-step instructions on requesting Reserves materials can be found under the two tabs:

  • Accessing Reserves, Print Materials
  • Accessing e-Reserves using Sakai
