RefWorks

This is a brief guide to getting started with RefWorks at URI.

Creating Bibliographies

To create a bibliography, select items or navigate to a folder. Click on the Quotation Mark button above your citations.

You will see several options appear. The first creates a bibliography from selected items, the second creates citations and a bibliography. The final option allows you to customize your citation styles.

Click on Create Bibliography at the top. On the next screen, you can further customize your bibliography, and copy it to your clipboard for pasting.

Please note that if you have a pop-up blocker enabled on your computer, the file may not immediately load or download. RefWorks should prompt you with additional options for obtaining the file via a small box in the lower right of your browser window.

Connecting RefWorks to Other Tools

You can connect RefWorks to Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Overleaf for additional functionality. See the links below for more details.
