Gardening and Environmental HotlineThe URI Gardening & Environmental Hotline is a free service that provides high-quality, science-based solutions to problems encountered by residential gardeners. It is staffed by trained URI Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners.

Gardening Information and Soil Testing (GIST)URI Master Gardener volunteers conduct free soil pH testing as a service to the residents of Rhode Island and surrounding areas from March through October.

School Garden InitiativeThe URI Cooperative Extension School Garden Initiative (SGI) partners with schools that have or desire a school garden to serve as a platform for applied learning of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) concepts.

Invasive Plant Management TrainingsURI Cooperative Extension offers Invasive Plant Management Trainings for environmental and landscape professionals, land managers and homeowners in cooperation with the RI Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC) and the RI Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM).
