The URI Open Access Fund will underwrite reasonable publication charges for open access journals when funds are not otherwise available.

URI APC data from OpenAPC

The OpenAPC initiative releases datasets on fees paid for open access journal articles by universities in an effort to promote transparency in OA publishing. Below you can explore Open APC data for article processing charges (APC's) paid by the URI OA Fund.

Note that APC's for articles written by URI authors that were paid from grants or other funds are not included in this data, which cover only those articles for which URI authors were reimbursed through the URI OA Fund. Also, OpenAPC data present the total APC cost (in euros) to publish each article, which is not necessarily the same as the amount of the URI OA Fund award.

Financial support for the fund is provided by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development.

Reimbursements are processed through the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development.
