By the end of today's session, "Your Rhode to Becoming a Researcher," you'll be able to do the following:

  • Reflect upon your research strengths and weaknesses, articulating how the URI Libraries will help you in your first year of college.
  • Navigate the library website to locate information about relevant resources and services.
  • Differentiate between scholarly and popular articles, and explain the role citing plays within academic research.
  • Apply effective search strategies to find and access sources using the library catalog and Academic Search Complete.
