The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is the principal fact-finding agency for the U.S. government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics. The BLS produces statistics on prices including the Consumer Price Index (CPI), employment and unemployment, earnings, and productivity. Publications available at this site include the Monthly Labor Review, Employment and Earnings Online, and Compensation and Working Conditions Online.

Areas covered include GDP and cyclical indicators; consumer income and spending; industrial production and capacity utilization; busines sales, inventories, and investment; prices; employment costs, productivity and profits; employment, hours, and earnings; money and financial markets; foreign trade and finance; and international comparisons. Industry-specific data are also included. Formerly published biennially as a supplement to the Survey of Current Business under the title Business Statstics.
