The HathiTrust Accessible Text Request Service is now available to URI students with documented print disabilities, such as visual impairments. Students must qualify for this service through the URI office of Disability, Access, and Inclusion. Check with your DAI Coordinator!

Eligible students may request access to any book in the HathiTrust Digital Library, even books with copyright restrictions.

How it works:

Locate a book in HathiTrust (see Accessing HathiTrust from URI), and then fill out the request form to request a full copy of the book.

Someone in the Digital Initiatives unit of the University Libraries will respond within 2 business days. If your request is accepted, we will email you a PDF copy of the book downloaded from HathiTrust.
