How do I set up an account through URI?

  1. If you are a current paid Wall Street Journal subscriber, first read “What if I’m a current Wall Street Journal subscriber?” below.
  2. To create your account, go to the WSJ URI registration page.
You will be prompted to log in with your URI Single Sign On (SSO) credentials
You will be redirected to the Wall Street Journal Create Account page.
  3. Create your account:
    • Use the "Account Type" drop-down menu to select Student, Staff, or Professor.
    • Your name and e-mail address will be pre-populated. You may edit your name if you want. You must use your @uri.edu email address.
      • If you are a student, you will be prompted for your graduation month and year. Your account will be active until that time, with a 90-day grace period. If you remain a student beyond that date, you will need to contact WSJ Customer Service to update your information (see below).
      • If you are a faculty or staff member, your account will be active for a year, after which you will need to refresh your membership. You will receive an e-mail reminder from the WSJ with a refresh link at that time.
    • Enter a unique password of your choice.
    • Check the box next to "I agree to the Privacy Notice, Subscriber Agreement, Cookie Notice" and click the "Create" button.
    • You will be asked a series of questions to customize your account. These are optional.
  4. From this point on, you do not need to use the library link or your URI SSO credentials.
You can access the Wall Street Journal directly or via their apps after logging in with your uri.edu email and the password you created in Step 3.
