This is a guide to selected sources of information on Sociology available in the URI Libraries. This guide is broken down into tabs:
Reference Resources is where you will find Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, and Handbooks to help you get started on your work. These are all located in the Reference Section, on the first floor of the Carothers Library.
Find Articles provides you with links to databases. For more information on searching databases, please visit our Finding Articles guide:
Internet Resources offers a list of reputable links to various websites regarding Sociology. These sites offer links to statistics and more.
To find additional information, conduct a Subject search in the catalog using the subject headings: sociology, social institutions, social structure, statics and dynamics (Social Sciences).
The menu on the left provides you with hours that librarians are available to help you. If you need assistance, please feel free to come to the desk, give us a call, or use chat, text, or e-mail during these hours.
These are the latest publications from faculty members in this department.
