Talent Development Summer Pre-matriculation Program
Each year the Library Public Services faculty provide information literacy instruction for approximately 400 pre-matriculating students who participate in the Talent Development Summer Program. During the first week of the Talent Development program, small groups of students visit the library for an orientation and introduction to academic library services, staff, and resources. Each session consists of a general discussion about academic libraries, including orientation to the building, services and staff. This is followed by exploration and practice using the catalog to find books and a general periodicals database to find articles for college level research.
